Over the winter months flooding can cause persistent and damaging issues for local communities. Despite the disruption this can cause, it can also be quite difficult to know who to report flooding to since there can be a number of different organisations (known as flood risk management authorities) who might have responsibility or involvement in an incident.
As part of its support for the country’s biggest-ever community clear up the Town Council is seeking volunteers to take part in organised litter-picks on 3rd - 5th March

You may have already seen information in the press that the Chief Veterinary Officer has declared a Prevention Zone to help protect poultry from a strain of Avian Flu in Europe. This now requires keepers of poultry and other captive birds across England to keep their birds indoors, or take appropriate steps to keep them separate from wild birds. Information on the new measures can be found here. Poultry keepers are advised to be vigilant for any signs of disease in their birds and any wild birds, and seek prompt advice from their vet if they have any concerns.
An annual award and prize of £50 is made to a Person or Organisation, who has made an outstanding contribution to the life, or name of the town during the preceding twelve months. Submissions with supporting details should be forwarde by email or letter to Mrs C Walker, Woodbridge Town Council, Market Hill, Woodbridge, IP12 4LP or by email to email@example.com by 31st December 2016 from whom further details can be obtained if required.
