The Mayor welcomes Rock Royalty to Woodbridge

On Saturday 19th July, the Mayor of Woodbridge, Councillor Josh Sayles had the pleasure of welcoming former Oasis front man Noël Gallagher to Woodbridge, as Noël was appearing at nearby Latitude Festival.    'Noel was a complete gent' said the Mayor, who met Noël and his family.  'My 8 year old son Harvey is learning to play the guitar and Noël insisted he sign it'.   Harvey was delighted and cannot stop telling everyone he meets'.  The Mayor said 'it had been another fabulous summer for Woodbridge, 'in only one month we welcomed true Royalty in HRH the Duchess of Gloucester and now we have welcomed rock Royalty too! That’s Woodbridge!

Advance Warning of Essential Work planned on the Flood Defence Wall in Woodbridge

Please click here to read of essential work planned on the flood defence wall in Woodbridge.   Repairs are required to ensure the defence offers the best standard of protection to people and property in preparation for the winter storm season.   Work is from Tide Mill Lane to Deben Rowing Club and will be undertaken in two phases by our contractor Jackson Hyder.   Phase one is to start in August for approximately six weeks.
