Woodbridge Town Council is delighted to report the freehold transfer of the community buildings and public open space at the prestigious Woodbridge Waterfront has finally taken place.

Councillors Martin Sylvester, Clare Perkins, Michael Dale and David Mortimer and the Town Clerk, Chris Walker along with Councillors Geoff Holdcroft and Stephen Attwell have worked tirelessly with Whisstocks Developments Ltd to secure part of the site for the town.

Woodbridge Town Council intends to lease out the two community buildings on long terms leases at a peppercorn rent to the Woodbridge Museum Trust and the Woodbridge Riverside Trust.  The public open space will shortly be accessible to all with the opening of the glass topped floodgate which has also been transferred to the Town Council.

The Town Mayor Councillor Clare Perkins commented that she was delighted to be part of the team working with Whisstocks Developments Ltd to secure the exciting future on a site that has been derelict for many years now.
