Council Tax

East Suffolk Council is responsible for collecting  Council Tax  for the District, although the total amount collected is divided between East Suffolk Council, Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Police and your town or parish council.   The money is used to provide local services such as education, social services, libraries, police, leisure centres, refuse collection and recycling - to name just a few.

Details can be found on the East Suffolk Council website which includes who has to pay Council Tax; how to pay your Council Tax bill; information about disabled persons reductions and other discounts and exemptions.   There are also forms available if you wish to make an application or to tell if you are moving house or about any changes in your circumstances.
