As we approach the Remembrance Day services at the War Memorial on the Market Hill, we'd like to make more of you aware of the fantastic research that was carried out in 1998 in regards to the fallen from the town.
The Woodbridge War Memorial is in the form of a Latin Cross on an octagonal column resting on a plinth with a three stepped base. There are 133 names for WW1 and 56 for WW2.
In 1998 a group of volunteer researches formed the Woodbridge War Memorial project to find out all they could about the men whose names appear on the War Memorial. The work was recorded in a file and presented to the Town on St George's Day in 1999 where it may be consulted in the Shire Hall during office hours.
