Prince PhilipCouncillors and Officers from Woodbridge Town Council are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.

The Mayor of Woodbridge, Councillor Sue Bale said ‘On behalf of Woodbridge Town Council, our residents and communities, I would like to express our deep sadness following the passing of Prince Philip. Our thoughts at this sad time are with Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family’.

As a mark of respect our flags at the War Memorial and Tide Mill Quay will be flown at half-mast from today, April 9th. Our flagpole on Elmhurst Park is currently awaiting repair.

When more information is available from Buckingham Palace we will endeavour to keep residents up to date on the means available to pay your respects; Suffolk County Council have now opened an online book of condolence;
