Have you considered how you could give something back to the young people in your area?
Published 13 October 2026
Following a successful appeal earlier this year, the Governing Board of Woodbridge Primary School is looking to recruit two more Co-opted Governors, who are passionate about the education of young people and who want to help our children to thrive.
Governors make up one of the largest volunteer forces across the country and play an extremely important role in the success of our schools. Effective governance is crucial in maintaining the quality of leadership and management, and pupil attainment. Governance is both challenging and rewarding.
Woodbridge Primary School, assisted by its Board of Governors, is a successful community school with high standards of education and pastoral care. We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience of business and/or the digital world of IT, cyber and AI.
You do not need to be, or have had, experience in the education sector. We provide full induction, training and ongoing support to help you feel confident in the role.
We look forward to hearing from anyone who may be interested in learning more about this opportunity. Please contact the Chair of Governors or Lynsey Crossley, our Head Teacher at Woodbridge Primary School via the school office on office@woodbridgeprimary.suffolk.sch.uk or 01394 382516, leaving your name and contact details.
We would be grateful to receive all applications prior to 30 November 2026.
