SUMMARY

Woodbridge Town Council are seeking an organised and community aware person to provide a handyperson service across the Council’s wide and varied estate, where under the direction of the Town Clerk you will undertake a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that the Council’s estate remains in good order. You will become a recognisable and approachable member of the Council’s staff and build relationships with the Council’s tenants and partner organisations.

The position will offer on average ten hours work per week and is based on a full-time equivalent salary of £23,484. Minor seasonal fluctuations in hours should be expected.

The post requires internal and external work and demands efficient and effective working practices to achieve value-for-money and best practice standards. The successful candidate will be physical fit, have a high level DIY skills and a practical aptitude for general building and grounds maintenance, as well as an awareness of Health and Safety regulations.

The successful candidate must be prepared to use their own vehicle.
