Notice of Casual Vacancy - County Division of Woodbridge

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 89(1) of the Local Government Act 1972 that due to the death of Caroline Page, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Woodbridge County Division.

A by-election is only triggered by local government electors requesting a by-election to take place. This requires two local government electors within the Suffolk County Council area giving notice in writing to the Deputy Returning Officer.

Once the requests from the electors are received, the polling day for the by-election must be set at the Deputy Returning Officer’s discretion within 35 working days of the date of receipt of the requests.
