Woodbridge Town Council co-opts new Councillors
Published 11 August 2023
Following the Town and Parish Council elections in early May 2023, Woodbridge Town Council were left with two vacancies after uncontested elections in all four wards of the town.
Town and Parish Councils are able to 'co-opt' to the vacanies immediately following an election, but best practise advises that the position is widely advertised to the townsfolk.
Following a period of advertising, Full Council considered applications from five eligible persons at its meeting on July 19th, and thereafter co-opted the following residents to the position of Councillor for Woodbridge Town Council:
Cllr Doreen Pegg (Kyson Ward) - councillorpegg@woodbridge-suffolk.gov.uk
Cllr Eleanor Beck (Seckford Ward) - councillorbeck@woodbridge-suffolk.gov.uk
